MUSIC QUALITY
MOVE IT takes place in a large exhibition hall. Please follow this guidance in order to get optimal sound in this setting and make your performance the best it can be. If you will be downloading track(s), please ensure your files have a bit rate of at least 256kbps however we recommend 320kpbs – this is the best quality of mp3. (this is the standard quality of files available on iTunes).
We would recommend sourcing music from an original CD or mp3 download sites that supply professional quality.
MP3, AIFF files (used by Macs and Apple technology) and WAV files (used by Windows) are preferable. These files are uncompressed sound files and therefore offer a fuller sound quality – you should work with these file types if you are going to do any computer-based editing of music yourself.
Accepted formats: MP3, WAV OR AIFF
Minimum File size: 5MB
Please label your music as follows:
➤ Performance Day
➤ Stage: mainstage
➤ Slot Number ie: Slot 1 (this was stated in your confirmation email)
➤ Company Name
EXAMPLE: FRI_Mainstage_Slot1_MotionhouseDance
All uploaded files will be listed below.
As a guide, a 4 minute song should be larger than 5MB file size. However, AIFF files (used by Macs and Apple technology) and WAV files (used by Windows) are preferable. These files are uncompressed sound files and therefore offer a fuller sound quality – you should work with these file types if you are going to do any computer-based editing of music yourself.
